Decide who's the real KING OF FIGHTERS by challenging your friends via Wi-Fi Multiplayer!! This game is hands down the best KOF game on the app store as of right now. I would give it a 5 star if it werent for the controls that are a little bit stiff at times, specially when you are trying to fallow up a combo with a special but man I'd still be killing it on my Iphone 4s. We need Orochi in the game aswell and if possible make this game an online player too. keep up the good work and release KOF 98 or that would be a dream come true. For those who complain about difficulty you guys must be rookies or not good at this game at all.
my tip to all you is figure out how the computer works, when to pull off a moves to beat it and learn how to do combos fallowed by specials. Then you will be a true King of fighters. If you are a fan of the KOF series you must get this game. the newer KOF games are ok and a bit entertaining but this one just brings back memories and has a big roster. Clark, Iori, Blue Mary, Benimaru, Terry, Joe, Ralf and I Billy are my fav characters in this game. realease a game this year. For the love of God, just add a training mode! You have no idea how hard it is to pull of a lot of Iori's and Kyo's combos, so I basically had to train by repeating the first stage OVER, AND OVER, AND OVER AGAIN because that's when the AI is at it's stupidest. I may not understand all the technical aspects of adding something to the game, but is it really THAT hard to program a mode were the AI sits still and does nothing with unlimited health so I can practice combos?
If we do get the update, I'll change this review to a 5 star, because this is definitely one of the best fighting games I've ever played, and this is coming from a guy whose played Street Fighter 3rd Strike. I love KOF but this app version will leave you frustrated. Once you get past level 3 the game gets extremely hard to the point that you can't do any damage, you won't be able to land any hits and even if you block it'll still hit you. Every combo or special move will be interrupted. Changing the difficulty on the main page makes no difference. It's not worth it, trust me. Bad Controls! The down SP button doesn't even work which need a fix. I can't even get past the 4th stage on difficulty one because the enemy know when your gonna attack, jump, crouch, or anything please fix.
The bot are so repetitive and fix the grab mechanics cause I keep grabbing some times and the for some reason the grab doesn't work and then the enemy grabs me when I hit them first. Also buy KOF 98 it better controls and easy to play. Last but not least please allow us to use both all desperation move because I hate that I have to actually use the joystick just to do one move and mess up just basically do the same like KOF Add Orchi Plz. It's a great port, it's all original, but things could be improved for the player if the game wasn't as difficult the AI always reacts with the exact counter to what you've just done, and if you make an input mistake then you just let yourself open and the opponent will destroy half of your life bar for that mistake.

It looks great even if it's an old game, the controls are okay, it's fun choosing a team with a larger roster of fighters but it's still kind of hard even on the easiest mode. Sometimes the opponent would miraculously pull an all out attack just when I'm about to ko them. It's still a great game but the newer ones seem easier.
